OPERATION CHRISTMAS: 4
OUR TROOPS IV
October, 2007
Operation
Christmas for our Troops & their Families IV, 2007
Yellow Ribbon America and the America's Heroes Foundation are again
sponsoring “Operation Christmas for Our Troops;” our statewide Holiday
effort for California’s deployed military and their families. Operation
Christmas for our Troops & their Families is a bi-partisan, statewide
effort with the California State Capitol for our deployed National Guard
and Reserve military members. Last year we collected over 47,000 toys and
DVDs as well as gift cards for California military families.
This year we will kick off the Drive again at the California State Capitol
and here in Southern California the first week of December. This
bipartisan effort is quite unique because Representatives from both the
State Assembly and the State Senate will gather at the Governors Press
Conference room to announce their unified support of California’s military
and their families during this crucial time in American History.
We are excited to again have the California Legislature as Sponsors and
several members of the California Congressional delegation also. This year
we have Toy drop off locations at all 120 State Legislative Offices
located at the Capitol and their District Offices, 264 Ralph’s Markets
(Southern California) and select Wal-Mart locations.
Intent:
Yellow Ribbon America’s “Operation Christmas for Our Troops & their
Families” Campaign exists to give Statewide and National community support
that will uplift the moral of not only of our Nation’s Men and Women in
uniform here and across the globe but also their Families.
Operation Christmas for our Troops and their Families IV Goals:
Yellow Ribbon America, a project of America’s Heroes Foundation, is now
launching “Operation Christmas for Our Troops, and their families IV” with
the California State Capitol. “Operation Christmas for Our Troops and
their Families” is a statewide & national non-partisan Holiday effort to
support America’s deployed and at home military members and their families
that began in November 2004 and has grown every year since. It is not just
the soldiers that are affected when they are deployed and away from home
but also the families who are left behind.
In addition we will be bringing Christmas help and support to Military
Units and their Families in the States of Arizona, Louisiana, Washington,
Ohio, Oregon, Nevada (Las Vegas area), New York, Mississippi, Michigan,
Illinois, Massachusetts and Florida.

local communities that helps bring all Americans together to support their
local Troops and their families. Locals helping Locals - - local
