Goals and Objectives

Yellow Ribbon America unites Americans, motivating and assisting America’s communities to give direct support to their local military members and their families. To that end, Yellow Ribbon America provides the national framework to organize America's cities and towns, delivering immediate and direct support to America’s deployed and returning military personnel, and their families.

When soldiers are activated and then deployed, their principle concern is for their family’s morale and well being. The Yellow Ribbon America campaign has organized many communities to provide our military and their families’ real help and support.

Yellow Ribbon America Campaign helps Communities to support their Local Military Members and their Families through community fundraising efforts.

• Welcome Home Events

• Free or Discounted Business Services

• Household necessities like Food, Rent, and Utilities (These Grants are based upon available funds)

• Emergency Vehicle repair

• Medical and Dental discounts on expenses

• Emergency Home Repair

• Emergency Air Transportation home

• Funeral Expenses

• Operation Christmas for Our Troops & Families, the largest Christmas Holiday Drive in the Nation for America’s Military & their Families whose loved ones are deployed overseas.

Yellow Ribbon America has made great strides on behalf of America’s military members and their families, earning sponsorship from the California State Legislature and from both the California Republican and Democratic parties. This joint effort with local politics has given YRA a unique edge in helping to establish a non-partisan campaign that has organized hundreds of communities in assisting their local military and their families.

Yellow Ribbon America is a proud National Partner with the Defense Department's “America Supports You” & “Heroes to Hometowns” programs. America Supports You spotlights efforts by American citizens and industries to support the nation's men and women in uniform. Heroes to Hometowns is designed to welcome home Service Members who, because of injuries sustained, can no longer serve in the military. In wanting to create the best positive transition home for our Severely Injured Military Members and their Families, the Military Severely Injured Centers Heroes to Hometowns Program & Yellow Ribbon America inspires community growth and establishes a support network for Service Members and their families that allow our Severely Injured Heroes to ease into their hometown or new surroundings.

The yellow ribbon’s meaning has evolved from waiting for someone to come home, but in recent years, it has been displayed to show our support for our service men and women to keep them first and foremost in our hearts and prayers. Our national volunteer network is proud of the fact that we have given real help to many military members and families. We believe by helping the families of our nation’s military, we have helped them to be able to focus on their mission - to fight for and protect our freedom.

The Yellow Ribbon America campaign for America’s Military & their families is a sponsored project of the America’s Heroes Foundation. The America’s Heroes Foundation is a tax-exempt, not-for-profit; Veterans Organization as defined under Sections 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
